Alongside the wave-like staged performances in the urban space, a physically constructed space will be created at a central location and remain accessible throughout the exhibition as a meeting point for diverse communities. It is conceived as a place of participation, informed by Glissant’s idea of “Creolization” or the “Tout-Monde,” where workshops, discussions, and shared cooking and eating will take place.
For this purpose, the artists’ collective Britto Arts Trust is intended to be invited with their project “Pakghor – The Social Kitchen,” originally constructed in 2022 at documenta 15 in Kassel. The installation is shaped by the collective’s cultural background and adapted to the local context, evolving through interaction with communities.
For Zurich, a new version will be developed by the artists.
