No Mans Land

No Man’s Land explored the India-Bangladesh border, where fences, political divisions, and militarization separate communities, nature, rivers, and wildlife. In March 2014, artists from Bangladesh, India, and Australia worked with border communities and created performances and artworks, culminating in a rare meeting in the physical “No Man’s Land” between the two countries. The project reflected on partition, displacement, environmental destruction, fear, and the enduring social and economic connections between people on both sides of the border.
